Tytherington, Wiltshire
Tytherington, Wiltshire, is in the Cranborne Chase AONB (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty). There's not a lot to Tytherington, a smattering of houses, farms, a centre for shooting clays and pheasant, and an 16th Century church, but what there is completes an attractive village set in beautiful countryside. Tytherington could be mistaken for being a hamlet, however the difference between a village and a hamlet, so far as defined in Britain, is that the former has a church. Best visited with Heytesbury and Sutton Veny, where there are pubs.
