Smallbrook Meadows, Wiltshire
Smallbrook Meadows comprise six small water meadows, wet woodland, marsh, ponds, chalk rivers, hedgerows and ditches, it's open, and free, 24/7. Smallbrook Meadows is bisected by the quiet Smallbrook Road, on which is its car park. Like all un-manned car parks the one for Smallbrook Meadows has suffered some thievery, so you might like to avoid it and park in one of the car parks off Weymouth Street in Warminster, and take in the very pleasant Warminster park, which leads directly into Smallbrook Meadows, from the west. Smallbrook Meadows are only small, so with the park only require an hour or two to walk from one end to the other and back, taking in the scenery. Galloway and Belted Galloway cattle are often present in the meadows, endangered water vole live in the stream - so please keep your dog on a lead (and pick up any poop).
Gates are being made wheelchair and mobility scooter friendly in 2021, the paths are already.
