Harnham Water Meadows, Wiltshire
The walk through the beautiful Queen Elizabeth Gardens in Salisbury, and then on through Harnham Water Meadows is a must for anyone visiting Salisbury Cathedral as it affords exceptional views of it, as the celebrated artist Johhn Constable discovered. The walk is level and manageable, as I do, in a wheelchair. The Old Mill pub can provide a pleasant refreshment break or point from which to turn around and retrace your steps. If continuing then walk through the playing field by the pub and then left at the main road, then Harnham Road/St Nicholas Road/De Vaux Place, to come into Salisbury Cathedral via Harnham Gate. Retracing is the more attractive, and wheelchair friendly, option.
